Steam in the Bluegrass |
---|
I was fortunate enough to get a cab ride in #152, a 1905 Rogers 4-6-2 (Pacific type locomotive), in the summer of 1994. Since they have no facilities to turn the train, it is run in one direction with Steam power and then returns pulled by a CF-7 diesel (the CF-7 is a former AT&SF locomotive, converted to a hood unit from an EMD F-7 at their Cleburne Texas shops). Ride in two locomotive types for the price of one!
