The Western Maryland Scenic Railroad operates a 32-mile excursion trip from the Western Maryland Station Center in Cumberland up to Frostburg. Other attractions in Cumberland include the Transportation and Industrial museum, the Allegany Arts Council Gallery, the Allegany County Tourism Information Office, the Western Maryland Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society, and a National Parks Service Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Visitors Center. Located at Frostburg is the Old Depot Restaurant, the turntable (pictured above), and a Carriage Museum which is a "must see" for history lovers. Motive power on the Western Maryland Scenic is the 1916 Baldwin Consolidation (2-8-0) coal-fired steam locomotive #734.
