More July 2006 Photographs
On July 26, I Drove north to Dayton, TN to run some errands.
Sperry Rail Service is working on the north side of Dayton, near the north switch to the siding. This inspection car, and the MOW crew behind him, are on the mainline.

A south-bound mixed freight approaches, slowing to take the siding as he maneuvers past the track work.

I was able to catch him again on the north side of Dayton, before he put the horses to the rail and lifted his train out of the siding to track speed.

I managed to get to Sale Creek ahead of him, but only just barely. There is no speed restriction here, near the north switch to the siding.

A new SD70M-2 heads a train that was waiting in the Sale Creek siding for the southbound.

Second unit out is UP 8583, an ex-Denver & Rio Grande Western SD40T-2 "Tunnel Motor."

On Friday I had to drive to Soddy for a haircut. Caught this guy after running some errands which caused me to miss a south-bound.
Green signal along Back Valley Road, north of Soddy-Daisy.
