Just across west 7th Street you'll find these weathered ties STILL embedded in the lawn of the duplex shown in the last shot. This was Trierweiler Construction's Warehouse Spur, used mostly by David Lumber Co. The actual life of this spur was about 10 years. Like the O&N Lumber Spur, the Switch Ties for this spur remained in until Lake States rebuilt the crossing at West 6th Street in the distance. Keith

West 6th Street's Crossing. Lake States redid this crossing in 1986. Before that, water used to collect on the M&T. covering the railheads. It was funny in the late winter/spring, when it would melt during the day and freeze at night. You'd have a sheet of ice covering the tracks where I stood to shoot this photo. Have the Switch Engine come down and run over the ice resulted in a never-bending crashing noise as the engine ran over it. Keith
